Seriously. I feel like I have to do something. FOr all those victims of Katrina. Gah. So much damage, people feeling so hopeless that they commit sucicide, and people stealing and breaking into buildings. Rescue workers can't even enter the city for fear of getting shot at. I mean seriously, is this what happens when there is no law and order? Is this how out of hand things can get.

And then those thousands trapped in houses, and elderly to unable to help temselves. I don't know. It makes me sick to see this happening. over 130,000 kids have to go find a new school to go too. And then, there are dead bodies floating in the water... Uh this ticks me off because it feels like I have little power to do anything or help change. I think our school should set up a relief fund. I would certainly donate. This people need help. many are starving, out of water, and in shock.

School... I can't even keep focused on this entry anymore. I got a 89 on my Algebra Test. And I can't wait for the Game tomorrow, and Jimbo's afterwards. So excited. But the Katrina topic dampens my mood :-/

You're completely right, Matt. I feel the same way. I was talking to Reed during 4th block and he was talking with Catherine and me and he said, "If this were us, you guys wouldn't be able to graduate from high school. Your senior year would be caput and you'd have to get a GED or graduate without the pomp and circumstance." I am thinking, 'there are so many seniors in new orleans who are just like me - drum majors of their marching bands, have futures...they can't live their senior year like their supposed to..." I want to cry. A lot. I can't believe this is America.

Can I go to England now?

Im going to be the terrible person. The people who are robbing, and shooting at the helicopters. Pathetic pieces of trash. They deserve to be shot. Seriously, devistating hurricane or not, they should die. Stealing is wrong. And shooting at the Coast Guard...public death for that. So wrong. But yeah your right, all the innocent people...the smart people who fled(when the mayor came on tv and said get the heck out)yeah I hate it for them. Its aweful all the devistation they suffered. We have a mini relief fund, but somehow I doubt hoggard can help but so much, I mean...not many people are generous(if I had money id give some but Im broke). But yeah the hurricane situation is both devestating and way over rated, it has is aspects. The football game was awesome I think but yeah. I wanted to go to jimbos tonight, but everyone else went to perkins so I joined the bandwagon and went with everyone else.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one around here who knows what's going on in New Orleans and wish they could do something to help. It seems like there are so many people who don't tune in to that stuff unless it's happening to them. I hate that. Anyways, watching the new reports and videos from down there it definitely looks like a 3rd world country, not America. And how are they going to keep up the city? It's going to take forever. And in the meantime, living the a football stadium?! That must be awful. Plus, think of all the disease that are probably going to start going around since it's so unsanitary? I want to donate too.

Good job on the math. I have my first test Wednesday. And I didn't really have fun at the game, esp. b/c the show was bad. I hope everyone learns their music soon too. Plus I was sick, so that didn't help my mood any. Hope you had fun seeing your brother and stuff.

This whole hurricane thing just disgusts me. Why didn't everybody leave Louisana? I mean, the police dudes said it was a mandatory evacuation...so doesn't that mean you have to leave? Whatever. And then the water just kept on rising because the levies (sp?) broke and the people got stuck in their attics and drowned and all the floating bodies. So gross. And I am officially freaked out when the police dudes started tying dead people to trees. GROSS OUT! And those looters!! Stealing shoes and pants! What good are new shoes and pants when you are starving to death while standing in feces- and bacteria-infected water?! Ew... If anybody survives the starvation and the gross water, they will be severely, emotionally scarred and really sick. With infections and stuff. Gross.

Anyway. Thanks for talking to me again.
